Midas Alonso

Midas Alonso (Álvaro Aparicio, 1992), originally from the Sierra of Madrid, has established himself as one of the most solid and charismatic figures in today’s Spanish rap scene. His approach—direct and without artifice—draws from the rawness of classic rap and brings it into a contemporary context shaped by real-life experiences, forming a distinct sonic identity that balances tradition and evolution. His artistic universe is built on contrast: between the intimate and the wild, sensitivity and toughness, the everyday and the epic. This duality runs through both his music and his persona, where vulnerability and character coexist, always from an honest, unfiltered perspective rooted in the codes of the neighborhood.

In 2024, he released Mastercaster, his debut album, already considered a reference record within the national scene. The project connects through its rawness and authenticity, leading to the Mastercaster Tour, which sold out in nearly every city it visited—Vigo, A Coruña, Murcia, Zaragoza, Granada, Pamplona, Bilbao, Málaga, Seville, Valencia, Zamora, Barcelona, Madrid, and Salamanca—solidifying his impact nationwide.

In 2025, he released Solo Tú Eliges, a new project in which Midas Alonso deepens his artistic identity and personal discourse, opting for a more refined sound without losing the raw edge that defines him. The project revolves around decision-making, the weight of lived experiences, and the duality between destiny and choice, reinforcing his narrative through a more introspective and mature approach.
