There are few more fascinating stories in hip hop this century than Earl Sweatshirt’s character arc. From being the little brother figure of Odd Future when Tyler, The Creator invited him to join his crew in 2009 (he was so young that he totally disappeared for almost a year and a half when his mother sent him to boarding school in Samoa) to becoming the spiritual father of a whole generation of rappers who, just like him, conceive the genre as an imperfect and flawed reality. Between one moment and the next, between the teenage MC who emerged on the internet three decades ago and the modern successor to MF DOOM that he is now, Sweatshirt has lived several lifetimes. And he's still only in his early thirties.

Respected and admired in all strata of the contemporary rap game, Earl Sweatshirt will return to Barcelona on 19th February to present Live Laugh Love, his fifth album, at Sala Apolo.
