Caprichos de Apolo presents Barry Adamson

The cinematographic character of Barry Adamson's solo work is indisputable: each album is the soundtrack of an imaginary film. The 14th of June, the British musician and composer with more than forty years of career will be at Caprichos de Apolo to present his tenth album "Cut to Black", which will be released on May 17th.
Almost twenty years after his first visit to Barcelona, when he performed at the Primavera Sound festival in 2007, he returns to the city, and for the first time in a concert venue, with a new live show full of magnetism.
Adamson has already made a first preview of the album: "The last words of Sam Cooke", in memory of the artist the considered the father of soul and defender of civil rights in the United States who was murdered in 1964.
Former bassist of groups such as Magazine, The Birthday Party or Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and author of soundtracks for films directed by David Lynch or Oliver Stone, his discography is a journey from soul with pop sensibility to progressive rock with touches of psychedelia, through jazz noir and an insistent swing.
Influenced by film noir and the filmography of the sixties and seventies, Barry Adamson creates musical universes capable of conveying stories. Ten albums full of textures and changes that follow his own script, far from trends and fashions, and that form a singular personality.
