Perhaps you're fans of Christmas films: romantic comedies, children's films, grand social dramas, buildings full of terrorists with invented accents, cartoons, iconoclastic attempts to do away once and for all with Christmas and everything it represents. Good and bad intentions in the same scene that keeps repeating. The Christmas miracle takes different forms but is always the same fantasy.

The fact that Buenritmo has been going for 20 years could be one of those absurd miracles that help you swallow the film you're watching and teach you an important life lesson: perseverance and honesty are a great guiding principle for a record label and everyone involved with it, and that's something to be celebrated.

This coming St Stephen's Day, we'll be setting the place alight with a good part of Buenritmo's current roster: Rambalaya, Dani Nel·lo, Koko Jean & the Tonics, Los Mambo Jambo, and some of the names who have helped make the last 20 years more danceable and, therefore, more bearable. The list is long and we don't want to give away all the surprises, but there will be plenty of them and they'll be so much fun that we'll still be left wanting more years of gigs, records and celebrations.
