When Planet Hemp released its first album in 1995, it inspired the Brazilians with an exciting mix of rock and hip hop, with lyrics in Portuguese, which caused an immediate identification with the young people of the country. In addition, the band put in the spotlight the vocalists BNegão, Black Alien and, mainly, Marcelo D2, one of the greatest artists of Brazil. Their three studio albums were released by Sony Music with great success, billing gold and platinum records.
In 2018, the band was honored with a full biography and a feature film about the friendship between the two founders, Marcelo D2 and Skunk. A book and a film to celebrate the return of the most relevant Brazilian rock band and that still draws crowds today.
