Born in Tokyo and raised in Tanzania and England, Shing02 emerged on the independent scene of the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1990s. Throughout his independent career, which began in 1995, he has collaborated with various DJs and musicians, most notably with the late Japanese producer Nujabes.
