Concert of Nani Cortés in Barcelona - 21st November 2026

Nani Cortés is one of those voices that cannot be explained, only felt. His singing is authentic, poignant, and has a way of connecting that reaches the listener directly, without filters. Born in Andújar (Jaén), he grew up within one of the most deeply rooted families in the art of flamenco in the south.

The brother of Lin Cortés and nephew of the legendary singer El Pele, Nani grew up listening to the rhythm from within, in an environment where flamenco isn’t studied: it’s breathed.

From a very young age, he showed a natural connection with singing. At just six years old, he was already taking part in private gatherings within the artistic community, and by the age of eight, he was singing before Paco Valdepeñas, Terremoto, El Chino and none other than Camarón de la Isla, who were moved to hear that exceptional voice coming from such a young boy. Even then, it was clear that the lad was going to make a name for himself.

Over time, Nani Cortés has established himself as one of the most respected voices in contemporary flamenco, with a style of singing that is soulful, rooted in tradition and with its own distinct identity. He has shared the stage and the recording studio with artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Enrique Morente, Vicente Amigo, Raimundo Amador, Rosario Flores, María Toledo, Antonio Carmona and Rosalía, amongst others.

Highlights of his discography include his debut album, produced alongside his brother Lin Cortés, and in particular “Nadie me conoce”, a project in which he bares his soul with a more free-spirited and personal style of singing. Tracks such as “Como antes”, “Alegre vengo”, “Ley de vida” and “Te camelo” have resonated with audiences and remain staples of his repertoire.

In his recent career, he has released the single “Todo Es Mentira”, marking the start of a new creative phase, and is already working on upcoming releases that will be announced in the coming months.

On 21 November in La (2) of the Sala Apolo, Barcelona will host his concert: an evening of singing, emotion and great artistry, featuring one of the most authentic voices in contemporary flamenco.
