John Grant

John Grant continues to consolidate his career with the success of his album The Art of the Lie (2024), praised by critics and preceded by Boy From Michigan (2021), which entered the UK Top 10. Since his solo debut Queen of Denmark (2010), named Album of the Year by MOJO Magazine, Grant has developed a unique style that blends melodic pop with dark electronica, addressing autobiographical themes with irony and emotional depth.

Originally from Michigan, his childhood—marked by the repression of his identity—and his subsequent struggle with depression and addiction have shaped his work. After leading the band The Czars, his solo career took off with Queen of Denmark, followed by acclaimed records such as Pale Green Ghosts (2013), Grey Tickles, Black Pressure (2015), and Love Is Magic (2017).
