When Little Italy comes to our minds, we clearly picture the Italian community that Sicilian immigrants formed in New York, who flew from the European poverty seeking for the American dream.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Pizza, La "Famiglia", Mamma, Spaghetti or Passion, would leave a trace on the new society that was formed there and that will influence the American sound par excellence: Jazz.
On March the 24th, Sala Apolo will be transformed into Mulberry Street, the neuralgic center of the New York’s neighborhood where jazz parties were combined with the raids in search of the capos of the Sicilian mafias.
Dress up for the occasion and come to live the Italian passion for jazz: "La cosa nostra".
