Primavera a la Ciutat is the parallel and complementary festival of Primavera Sound. The 29th, 30th and 31rst of May and the 4th of June, assistants will have the opportunity to see artists who also perform at the festival or unique occasions to complete its musical offer at Sala Apolo and La (2).
Joel Johnston learned to fend for himself with a few instruments to record the music he began to put out under the alias Far Caspian, becoming a small underground phenomenon that looked like a miniature cross between Toro y Moi and Deerhunter, only to mutate into a full-blown band for his lo-fi pop to expand.
Just Mustard is the quintet from Dundalk (Ireland) that takes the noise tradition and mutates it, expands it, fuses it with other sounds and even kills it if necessary to carve their own path.
Nico Yubero, Lucas Sierra, Rubén Almonacid and Juan Rojo are La Paloma: their winning balance between noise and melody has only just begun (and yet they have already played at SXSW in Austin), but their name already puts us on the trail of the future of national rock.
