Concert of Califato 3/4 in Barcelona - 15th March 2024
Califato 3/4 arises in 2018 from a meeting between several musicians from Seville and Malaga.
As its name suggests, Califato 3/4 gives special relevance to the 3/4 compás, the basic ternary compás common to many flamenco palos. The band vindicates the popular and mestizo Andalusia, through experimentation and reinvention of flamenco, funk, breaks, footwork, hip hop and dub, among others; and always without fear of mixing.
The Andalusian group premieres the first release of the new LP, scheduled for February 28, 2024, the day of Andalusia. And they do it with "Êcclabo de Libertá", a film directed by JJ Torres that aims to mix high science fiction and features actors Paco León and Almudena Amor, artist Foyone and Betis players Borja Iglesias and Hector Bellerín.
