OVERTONE was founded in 2021 as a platform dedicated to showcasing underground bass music in Barcelona. The collective consists of K A I, RONNI, and LEVERAGE—three UK DJs driven by a shared vision of bringing elements of the UK rave scene to the city. Over the years, OVERTONE has hosted regular events, inviting both UK and local artists who embody the forward-thinking spirit of underground sound. From Garage, Dubstep, and Grime to UK Techno, Jungle, and UK Bass, OVERTONE continues to champion the sounds shaping the next generation of the scene.

YULIE

YULIE is a DJ, producer and musician from Barcelona whose sound is a journey that moves from the roots of dance music to the most current and cutting-edge tones of electronic music.

Exploring the universe of Bass Music, YULIE travels from the most melodic and bright UK Garage to the fast, organic percussion of jungle and breaks, passing through Speed Garage and Bassline. With clear inspiration from funk, disco, classic house and the sensitivity of French Touch, she weaves the essence of contemporary Black music into every facet of her sound.

Guided by groove, texture and soul, her sets rely on the dialogue between bass and melody, always seeking a balance between energy, emotion and movement.

A regular presence in Barcelona’s scene, resident at Marula Café and with shows in cities like London, YULIE carries her sound without fear of labels, always offering an authentic experience for both the audience and the dancefloor.

K A I

K A I is the founder, creative director and resident Dj of the Barcelona underground music platform OVERTONE, and a multi-genre DJ/producer known for delivering bass-heavy, percussive-focused, emotionally charged club music — spanning from UK Garage and Deconstructed Club to Techno and Dubstep. The Barcelona-based artist has shared the stage with iconic DJs such as Chase & Status, Joker, Sully, Special Request and Introspekt, to name a few.

Ronni

Ronni is a Barcelona-based DJ with roots in the UK and Japanese heritage, blending the raw energy of UK underground club culture with genre-fluid explorations in electro, bass, and UK garage. As a resident of the OVERTONE collective, Ronni is known for cultivating sets that are both nostalgic and forward-thinking, creating sonic spaces that reflect her dual identity and global perspective.

In addition to DJing, Ronni is currently working on her own original music, with upcoming releases that further expand her sound and artistic vision.

Leverage

UK-born, Leverage is a Barcelona-based DJ pushing the bass-heavy spectrum from house to drum & bass. A core member of Sirius Sound System, WONK and Overtone, he’s been central to Barcelona’s underground club music movement, sharing stages with Chase & Status, Soul Mass Transit System, Joker and Sully. Known for high-energy, genre-blurring sets at venues like Nitsa, Razzmatazz, and La Nau, Leverage continues to bring raw underground energy to every dancefloor.
