Anna Andreu - CAL FER MÉS INMENS EL CEL, l'Última Vigília

Concert of Anna Andreu in Barcelona - 16th January 2027

Achieving a solid simplicity, in both form and format, is Anna Andreu’s virtue. In a short time, she has established herself as one of the essential voices of contemporary Catalan and Mediterranean song. Through fables, poetry, and a costumbrista imaginary of the finest sensitivity, she turns the atomic and delicate into something resounding and solemn.

With her inseparable drummer (and violinist, and synthesizer player…) and partner, Marina Arrufat, they released the songs of Vigília (Hidden Track) at the beginning of 2025. A songbook that explores the concepts of nocturnal tension, wakefulness, the latent wait before an important event, the thoughts before sleep, and a paradoxically radiant darkness that allows everything to be understood with remarkable clarity.

Some time after its release, it has been abundantly confirmed that the work has left a lasting mark: editorially, with nominations for the MIN Awards and the Alícia Awards, and with the Núvol Award; and among audiences, having turned the album’s brief yet powerful repertoire into a timeless classic. And there is no doubt that this has happened in live performance: it is where the Vigília show reaches its full splendor, both for its staging and for the interpretative merit of Andreu and Arrufat, and where these songs have become permanently popular thanks to the communion with an audience that has become deeply loyal.

After nearly two years of endless vigils, the show arrives at Sala Apolo, brought by fstvl•b, as its final culmination. The last night of the project: a closing concert, with friends—who will be announced later—to affirm that, indeed, in the latent wait and the seemingly confused dream, clarity takes shape as memory, lived experiences… and also, inevitably, endings.
