Apolo and In-Edit join forces: new international music video award and summer film series

Sala Apolo and In-Edit Festival are embarking on a new phase of collaboration with the creation of the first Apolo Award for Best Music Video. This initiative aims to highlight the talent behind this audiovisual format, which has become a breeding ground for new talent, generating new audiovisual languages and connecting audiences worldwide.

This new section within In-Edit seeks to recognise the creativity, innovation and work of the creators involved in producing this format, giving visibility to a key sector within the audiovisual and music industries.

The selected music videos, chosen by a professional jury, will be screened during In-Edit Barcelona 2026, and the winner will be announced at the festival’s closing ceremony. Submissions for this new section will be open until September 1, 2026, and the rules can be consulted at this link.

As part of this partnership, In-Edit and Sala Apolo also announce a new open-air film series that will take place every Monday in July and August in La (3), the venue’s only open-air space.

Under the title ‘CineClub 113’, referencing the iconic street number of the venue on Nou de la Rambla, the programme will offer a journey through Latin music and club culture, creating a unique experience that blends cinema and music culture in one of the city’s most distinctive spaces. Film screenings will be accompanied by DJ sets connected to each film’s theme. The full programme, featuring a total of 9 films, will be announced in early June.

With this dual initiative, In-Edit and Sala Apolo reinforce their commitment to promoting musical and audiovisual culture, supporting new formats and creating spaces for connection between creators and audiences.
