When you listen to Ultralágrima's songs, the impact is twofold. At first, they sound futuristic, but later they reveal themselves to be totally realistic: it is the soundtrack to asphyxiating life in a city in 2025. Behind this project that captures a generational mood are Marco Henri and Ignacio López, two musicians with experience in other projects such as Margarita Quebrada, Tarara! and Gomet. Both are part of that new wave of Valencian artists who, although it may sound contradictory, are exploring the dark corners of pop under the Mediterranean sun.
These codes are shared with other members of their generation and contexts such as Xenia, La Plata and Blu Boi, although their sound also has connections with the trance-pop productions of Sega Bodega and the hallmarks of the Swedish label YEAR0001. Ultralágrima will present both their debut album (2024) and their recent EP Días de Alegría (2025) on 5th March at La (2) de Apolo in Barcelona.
