The Music Of BIG STAR supergroup will will revive one of the most perfect repertoires of songs made with guitar, bass and drums, with an exclusive tour in celebration of Houston Party's 25th anniversary.
The deluxe lineup includes Jody Stephens, the only living founding member of Big Star, who will be on drums, Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Chris Stamey (the dB's), Jon Auer (The Posies) and Pat Sansone (Wilco).
The quintessential band and pioneer of power-pop was also much more than that, because Big Star signed only three studio albums, yes, but all three were sublime and full of songs that could and should have been hits
The Sadies
The Sadies' music, a hybrid of garage, psychedelia, rockabilly, surf and bluegrass, does not understand recycling. It is flexible and versatile on the outside, curdled on the inside.
It has helped them to become one of the favorites of the followers of Cuban boot-heeled rock with a Cuban heel and a thin tie, but also to become the backing band of alternative country.
