With more than 4,000 concerts all over Europe under his belt, Pippo Pollina is one of the most popular Italian singer-songwriters. The musician, who hails from Sicily, has ties to Spain on his mother's side of the family, which is also reflected in his linguistic talent.
For more than 35 years, Pipo Pollina has captivated the world with his unbridled creativity, whether with lyrical ballads, poetic protest songs or rock songs: his language always remains sensitive and delicate.
His current album "Canzoni segrete" (2022) is about the power of music and the consequences of prosperity in our society, about the strange pandemic, changed passions, dreams, hopes and disappointments.
In addition to concerts with his band, he has also worked with countless international artists such as Georges Moustaki, Franco Battiato, Inti Illimani, Rebekka Bakken or Charlie Mariano, among many others.
Pippo Pollina animates and discusses, chats and reflects, with a rough yet sonorous voice, sometimes with a laconic touch, but never without an underlying reverence for the beauty of sounds and the power of art.
