The genesis of Palms Trax couldn’t have read any dreamier: curious yet naive son of the English Riviera lands a job at one of London’s leading record stores and discovers the masters of Chicago house and Detroit techno. Since stumbling around Berlin and linking up with Dutch powerhouse Dekmantel, his sound has seamlessly drifted between vintage house, esoteric disco and the various shades of a bubbling UK underground he has helped define. AIDA can be found at the intersection of two contrasting worlds: rich Iranian roots and a serene west-coast Canadian upbringing. Combining elements of world-inspired music with electronic, she gives colorful twists to masterful blends of groovy house, techno, and breaks geared for the dancefloor.
