This Saturday, UK electronic musician Actress returns to MUTEK to premiere LXXXVVVVIII, his ninth album and the culmination of 25 years’ honing mind-shorting, soul-igniting audio infusions for dance floors, rave dens, festivals, and concert halls. At Nocturne 2 in Nitsa, we will also have the privilege of witnessing the new audiovisual show by German composer, producer, and conceptual artist Pantha du Prince, crafted around his album This Bliss (2007), an emblem of the microhouse sound. All of this alongside sets by Honeydrip, a notable name in Montreal's underground DJ scene whose selections span from UK bass to leftfield techno, and LANAV, co-founder of the local collective Abundance, who blends experimental sounds, electrifying breaks, and resonant basslines.
