Alex Ridha aka Boys Noize embodies the transformation and expansion of 21st century techno, house and electro into the current zeitgeist. Propelled by an infatuation with sonic invention and a prescience for subculture, the German-Iraqi artist, DJ and producer has developed a peerless practice that is both deeply informed by electronic music history and determinedly transcending conventions. In his return to Nitsa this Friday, he will be joined by Brussels-based AROH DJ, whose wide-ranging style flirts with the outskirts of wave, techno and rave but always transfusing them into a solid package destined to make the crowd move.

Born in 1993, in the dawn of electronics, through its cabin have passed names as relevant as Aphex Twin, Todd Terry, Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin, SBTRKT or Ellen Allien in addition to the local DJ Fra, Marc Piñol and DJ Kosmos. Its counterweight, B-side, reverse and its alternative is Astin, where every night is the same... but totally different.
