Having stories to tell requires growth, and growth requires letting time pass by. From that symbolic place Lorena Álvarez is presenting her new project, to be released before the summer by Primavera Labels.
Named "Colección de Canciones Sencillas" (Simple Songs Collection), the project will be the artist's most intimate one up until now. Armad with the strength of her surroundings, Lorena Álvarez has found her poetry deep within her personal experiences, using it as the pivotal value of her soon-to-be-released album. LORENA pays attention to the magic words that not only mean what they appear to articulate, but also open the door to hidden stories that we are all familiar with: those that we ali keep locked in our hearts.
After the release of "La Cinta" (Sones, 2011), her first LP "Anónimo" (Sones, 2012) and the EP "Dinamita" (Producciones Doradas, 2014), Lorena Álvarez has been able to surpass the regular limitations of traditional music. Placing folk on a new context, Lorena has managed to proudly bring contemporaneity and tradition together. Along her career, the singer-songwriter has collaborated and shared the stage with artists as Josephine Foster, Soleá Morente o Alonso Carmona (Napoleón Solo). Over the years, Lorena Álvarez has proved her polyvalence on stage and a hyper creative talent that never disconnects from her own truth.
