Issac Delgado is undoubtedly one of the most well-known Cuban singers and songwriters in the world. 1991 was a pivotal year in his musical career, as he decided to create his own orchestra under the tutelage of the prestigious pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba. In 1992, he won the EGREM Award with his first album, "Dando la Hora." In May, he released his new album, "Mira como vengo." The release will be accompanied by a promotional video narrated by Issac himself, who recites excerpts from the text he wrote to introduce the album. This material serves not only as an introduction to the work but also as an intimate account of the process that inspired its creation. With a total of eleven tracks, "Mira como vengo" incorporates many of the sounds that have accompanied Issac throughout his career. Timba makes a strong comeback, like a natural pulse that has accompanied him since the 90s, while salsa takes on different forms: modern, with flamenco touches, bolero-like, and full of that romanticism that suits his voice so well. The bolero-chá, which has always been part of his musical universe, is also present, along with a rhythmic conga that appears near the end of the album, adding a touch of freshness before the closing and leaving the listener wanting more.
