Jonathan Vera (Canelita) was born in the neighborhood of La Bajadilla in Algeciras, the Arab Green Island, the port where Zyryab, the Iraqi musician who inspired cante jondo, disembarked on his arrival in Andalusia. There in La Bajadilla, in the same streets where the brilliant maestro Paco de Lucía lit his art, Canelita, still a boy, discovers that he has the gift of voice. And there, the cantaor Morenito de Illora, give him the name of Canelita. We still heard him, sitting on the step of a staircase in front of his house singing the black sounds of old cantes. Canelita breathes fandangos and bulerías, her favorite cantes, but also rumba and tangos.
After releasing nine albums, the young Andalusian singer promises many years of flamenco and brings us this show called "Desde vivo errante", which is nothing more than a review of his entire musical career since his first album.
He is a sage of ancient and modern cante.
