DROP Dance Society is set to take over Astin again this Saturday, bringing back David Moufang, aka Move D, one of modern electronic music’s most beloved souls, with a rich musical history rooted in 60s and 70s jazz, psychedelic rock, soul and early electronica. An unassuming heavyweight in house music, a producer for countless forward-thinking labels, and a DJ whose diverse catalog attacks the hips and the head in equal measure, he will be joined by DROP founder Beniso and the talented selector Eli Kapowski, delivering soulful house grooves and bassy rhythms to set the vibe.
Born in 1993, in the dawn of electronics, through its cabin have passed names as relevant as Aphex Twin, Todd Terry, Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin, SBTRKT or Ellen Allien in addition to the local DJ Fra, Marc Piñol and DJ Kosmos. Its counterweight, B-side, reverse and its alternative is Astin, where every night is the same... but totally different.
