Apologia X Hardy: Hanakito + Toni Morales + Dj Khu

Apologia X Hardy - 23rd May, 2026

Hardy’s 4th Anniversary:

After four years of building scene and community in Barcelona, Hardy celebrates its fourth anniversary with a party that brings together everything the collective stands for: vinyl, African American music, and a deep love for house music in its purest form.

Hardy is a Barcelona-based collective of DJs and vinyl collectors whose mission is to foster the house scene within the city’s nightlife through parties and gatherings where the music is played entirely on vinyl. Their sets blend African American influences from jazz, soul, R&B, funk, and gospel. They also create video content to spread the history and culture of the house movement through social media.

Lineup:
Hanakito,Toni Morales, Dj Khu

Hanakito

Originally from Tokyo, Hanakito Suga began her career organizing parties in underground venues in her hometown before spending time in Mexico City, where she established herself as a professional DJ and absorbed the energy of the Latin American music scene. Currently based in Barcelona, she plays at venues such as Salvadiscos, Soho House, and Curtis Audiophile Café, and hosts a radio show on RBL Barcelona. Her eclectic style blends house, disco, rare groove, hip hop, soul, and funk with global sounds, connecting Tokyo’s underground scene with the rhythms of her adopted city.

Toni Morales

Born in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Toni Morales is a passionate advocate of house music and the analog format, with deep knowledge of disco music and its many variations. For years, he has been traveling to record stores across Europe in search of new releases and rare finds. In 2015, he formed a duo with Less J under the project Brain Gain, entering the Barcelona scene and later launching other initiatives such as LaMelofunk and House & Love alongside producer Kou. In 2019, he joined the Farola team as a resident, exploring a wide range of African American music styles, and currently shares the booth every weekend with Sergi Delgado at their party Born to Boogie.

Dj Khu

DJ Khu is a veteran of Barcelona’s house scene who witnessed the birth of club culture in the city and the early days of Sónar. A dedicated vinyl collector, he digs through record stores around the world and second-hand shops in Barcelona to surprise his audience with lesser-known sounds. His sets blend jazz, soul, disco, funk, R&B, and gospel with electronic music, with a strong focus on American house from New York, Chicago, Detroit, and Baltimore, while also embracing local and international European sounds.
