In the beginning it was the rhythm. And in the end, too. The north, the south, the east and the west come together in the rhythmic mix of Antibalas. Nigeria, Cuba and New York, united by this dance brotherhood born in Brooklyn.
Invoking the specters of Fela Kuti and Eddie Palmieri, and the holy spirits of Afrobeat and salsa with a Nuyorican accent, Antibalas have become an institution. A perfectly oiled machine. Without leaving aside jazz and funk, of course, as well components of its formula.
A group of more than ten musicians with a huge discography after more than two decades, and with a sweeping power on any stage.
