This event is part of the new Afers concert series, a meeting of worlds between a local artist and a European artist that takes place at La CINC in an intimate, intimate setting. This initiative brings together two artistic proposals that share a musical genre in one event, one Friday a month, with the aim of discovering emerging talent on the current music scene.
Carlota Flâneur's career began in 2020 with her debut EP Brains, where she already stood out for her ability to combine brilliant melodies with emotionally charged, unfiltered lyrics. With Uncertainty, her first album, she managed to take her universe one step further, and with Ferran Palau's production, she consolidated a colourful offering full of sing-along choruses and warmth. In 2024, she gave us Relate, a single composed with Marta Knight and produced by Núria Graham, featuring drum machines and layers of synthesizers that unify the similar voices of the three Catalan artists.
After charting a course through the brightest pop, in 2025 Carlota Flâneur presents What my body wants. It is a well-rounded album that walks between sun and shade, full of harmonies and textures skilfully placed to give a new shape to the already recognisable compositions of the Barcelona singer-songwriter. For this new work, she has enlisted the support of producer Emili Bosch (b1n0), who has managed to elevate Carlota Flâneur's songs with ingenious rhythmic patterns and meticulous melodic arrangements that are as moving as the lyrics.
Mina Okabe 's show is supported by Liveurope and Nordisk Kulturfond the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote European emerging artists. Liveurope is co-founded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
Mina Okabe, 24, composes happy and evocative pop songs. Her lyrics, which seem to be taken from a diary, tell the sincere stories of a young woman. With over 500 million plays, Mina Okabe has won over a global audience, becoming a promising rising star in the Nordic countries.
Mina Okabe was selected as a Spotify Radar Artist and Apple Music Artist to Follow in 2023. Her success and international buzz have led Mina Okabe to tour extensively, including performances at such prominent festivals as Roskilde Festival (Denmark), Seoul Jazz Festival (Korea), Summer Sonic Festival (Japan) and SXSW (USA). Following the huge success of the reissue of her acclaimed debut album, Better Days, Mina Okabe was honoured by the RIAJ earlier this spring as ‘New Artist of the Year’ at the Japan Gold Disc Awards 2024.
Mina Okabe returns with new cheerful and warm melodies just in time for Indian summer. “Strong” is the Danish-Japanese songwriter's second single from her upcoming album, recorded together with multi-platinum hit producer and two-time Grammy nominee Leroy.
